What about giving an iPhone or S7 Edge to a homeless man rather than breaking it?

First of all, let me tell you that I spend at least 1 hour daily on YouTube watching videos, mostly tech videos, educational and informative videos. But I have noticed something strange in recent times. I have seen many YouTubers destroying their smartphones "intentionally" for making a video for the viewers. Not only that, they are dropping, smashing, boiling, freezing, burning, grinding and doing all the possible crazy destructive stuffs to their smartphones! These crazy activities are not only limited to smartphones, they also include other gadgets like tablets, gaming consoles, televisions, computers and what not! The video can attract the attention of us, specially because it is human nature to be protective and cautious about the things we love and we love our smartphones and other costly gadgets for sure. But at the same time, working on these kinds of videos can really be dangerous for those YouTubers who are actually shooting them and most importantly, this is wastage of resource.

I will now give a few examples of the kinds of videos I am talking about -

Why I ask, can't you help a homeless man instead? Can't you see the joy, the magical feeling in their eyes when someone unexpectedly gives them something? They are in need for help and they do not cause any harm to anyone. You can review smartphones and other gadgets and do other creative things with them. A scratch and bend test is also fine, but there is no point of chopping a television off or dropping a smartphone inside a bowl of liquid nitrogen! So, why destroy costly gadgets rather than helping a poor man/woman? Yes, I completely understand that making videos of costly things getting destroyed will attract lots of eyeballs, making the view count of a video reach really high that generates high revenues from advertisements. Making videos about helping poor, homeless people will attract lots of eyeballs too and moreover, it will attract our emotions and empathy, making the view count of a video reach even higher! It makes sure you get the revenue you are looking for, and mainly and most importantly it helps a person who is desperately trying to live for one more day in hope that the next day would bring something good for them. Of course, this is a proven fact and you can check for yourself.

See some emotional videos and the reactions of poor people when they receive any help -

I hope the destruction of costly commodities on YouTube stops and videos about helping the people in need surfaces more and more. Thank you for taking your time to read this. This message needs to be shared all over the world. So, please share this with others if you have the same feelings about this matter. Thanks again.
